The comedian was born in 1938 in Edmonton. Tommy Chong is a school drop-out as he decided to focus on his career in music, learnt how to play a guitar and joined the band called “The Shades”. Later, the band’s name was changed into “Little Daddy & The Bachelors”. Some time passed and they decided to change the name once again into “Bobby Taylor & the Vancouvers”. One of the most well known singles of the band is called “Does Your Mama Know About Me”, which landed on the 29th position in charts. Moreover, the band was also touring with a well known group called “Jackson 5”.
