David was born in 1964, in Michigan and I must note that he was not the only creative kid in the family. His Brother, Andy Spade has spent many years working as an advertiser for such influential companies as Lexus, Coca- Cola and Paul Start. He has later married a fashion designer Kate Spade and opened 26 of her stores under his creative leadership. Just about a year Ago, Andy launched a collection of loungewear, titled “Sleepy Jones” (in collaboration with Chad Buri and Anthony Sperduti).
As about David, the actor is quoted saying: “In grade school I was smart, but I didn’t have any friends. In high school, I quit being smart and started having friends.” Perhaps this is more than a joke, but it does not mean that Spade is an uneducated fool. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at Scottsdale Community College, just to transfer to Arizona State University a little bit later. He earned a degree in business from this institution in 1986. While still studying, the future millionaire has started doing stand-up comedy at Greasy Tony’s Pizza. But for Spade, performing in front of the audience and hearing them laugh wasn’t the goal in itself. “I got into stand-up to get on a sitcom” – he has said.
It took a while until this dream has turned into reality, allowing David Spade net worth to grow. In the beginning of his career in the entertainment business, the comedian was nearly always short of money and in order to make the ends meet had to work as a wallet parker, busboy, skateboard shop employee. But none of the roles he has done during the first half of the 1990s was as successful as that of Dennis Finch on Just Shoot Me! For the performance on this television series Spade was nominated for variety of prestigious awards, including Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture and American Comedy Award.
