Just a year later, in 2002, he featured on a television movie Play’d: A Hip Hop Story and went on to appear on variety of other shows: Lucky, The Bernie Mac Show, LAX, Friends and Arrested Development. In 2005 Robinson was finaly cast for a reocuring role and that was not just on some random, little-known television series, but on the American version of The Office. While the critics were more than skeptical speaking about the first season of the show, the second one managed to win their hearts. For example, James Poniawozik, writing for Times, noted: “Producer Greg Daniels created not a copy but an interpretation that sends up distinctly American work conventions […] with a tone that’s more satiric and less mordant. […] The new boss is different from the old boss, and that’s fine by me.”
At first Craig’s role on The Office was rather marginal, but when the show was in its fourth season he was promoted to a starring role and until 2013, when the show ended, has appeared on 119 episodes. Needless to say, during this period The Office was the main source of income for the actor and as such, it made a major contribution to the overall Craig Robinson net worth.
